Tips:

  • Document the conversation and what you are learning daily — what did you learn today…or yesterday in your job search journey
  • Did you learn something new in your current job today? POST IT
  • Content creation allows you to be able to start a dialogue among strangers that you would have never met otherwise
  • Don’t be nervous about getting something wrong. Use it as an opportunity to connect. People correcting you is actually the best form of content creation because you can LEARN and ENGAGE
  • If you don’t want to post, you can comment and like posts! This is the equivalent of a handshake and ‘what do you do’ type of convo with strangers.
  • Be thoughtful in the comments!! Another great way is to literally just write your thoughts on someone else’s post!
  • If you are going to blog, blog on LinkedIn. If you are a writer this is THE BEST place to host a blog. Don’t put it on a website.
  • Video carries a ton of weight. Get on TikTok and document selfie style about what you are learning (this is of course if you like the camera)
